How this site makes money
Every way QuantityWise does or could earn revenue, what it changes, and what it never changes. Last updated 2026-09-18.
The short version. No commercial relationship has ever changed a figure on this site, and none ever will. Where money is involved, it is named on this page and marked on the page where it appears. If you find a number you think was influenced by a payment, tell us and we will publish the correction.

If that changes
We may add affiliate links in future — links to retailers that pay a commission if you buy. If we do, this page will say so before any such link goes live, each one will be marked where it appears, and the rule below will still hold: no commission can change a published figure.
The reason we can promise that credibly is that the maths is published. Every calculator shows its formulas and every reference figure is on a page you can read. A padded quantity would be visible to anyone who checked, which is the strongest guarantee we can offer and considerably better than asking you to trust us.
What we will not do
- Sponsored posts, paid links or guest articles. We do not sell them. Please do not ask.
- Paid inclusion in the reference tables. The figures are what we believe to be correct, and that is the only thing that puts a number on those pages.
- Lead selling. We do not pass your details to contractors, installers or merchants. There is no form on this site that collects them.
- Pretending an advert is content. Anything commercial is labelled.
Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, we would rather know. Corrections are published with a date on the page they affect, and we do not quietly edit a number and pretend it was always that way. Send them to [email protected] — the most useful ones come from people who fit this material for a living and can tell us what actually happens on site.
This applies especially if you think a figure looks commercially convenient. That is exactly the kind of error worth catching, and a public correction costs us far less than a reputation for padding.
